Premium Cat Food Brands

August 23rd 2010 20:22
There are many brands of cat food on the market, and it can be hard to choose the best cat food for your cat. To some degree, it's easier to pinpoint the cat food brands that you should avoid, as you'll find that most grocery stores and pet stores typically sell the same brands.

So, first off, bad cat food brands include:
* Friskies
* Whiskas
* Fancy Feast
* Purina Cat Chow
* 9Lives
* Alpo
* Special Kitty Wal Mart Brand
* Cat Chow Naturals
* Meow Mix

You may find that there may be some better formulas within these brands, but in general, these are not the most ideal brands of cat food to offer your cat.

When looking for a good cat food, you want to find one that doesn't have corn, wheat, wheat gluten, wheat flour, animal digest, poultry by-product meal, soybean meal, meat and bonemeal, poultry fat, or water sufficient for processing. These ingredients are the nitty gritty, junk left over. These are cheap fillers that may have little to not real nutritional value for your cat, yet they're common products used in bad cat food.

Some of the better brands of cat food, include:

* EVO Innova
* Wellness Complete Health Salmon Dry Cat Food
* Natural Balance Ultra Premium Cat Food
* Innova Dry Cat Food
* Evolve Dry Cat Food
* Nature's Variety Instinct Dry Cat Food
* California Natural Chicken and Rice Cat Food
* Newman's Own Organics Advanced Cat Formula
* Fromm Adult Gold Dry Cat Food
* Fromm Four-Star Nutritionals Duck Á La Veg Dry Cat Food
* Blue Spa Select Chicken & Brown Rice Formula
* Orijen Dry Cat Food
* Solid Gold Katz-n-Flocken Lamb Dry Cat Food
