Catnip

Catnip is a wonderful herb that is known for its affects on cat behaviors. It can turn a docile cat silly and a crazy cat docile. It's actually a wonderful little treat to watch, and it's even better for your cat to experience. Essentially, catnip is like crack for cats, so you only want to give it in small doses and only occasionally.
Typically, it's good to stick with just a pinch or two of catnip on your cat's bed, toy, or just the floor. Do not put any on your cat's food, as it can cause diet changes to your cat. Plus, for the most part, cat's absorb catnip through the olfactory system and not the digestive system.
Your can may or may not be affected by catnip, but it's always worth a try as a once in a while treat. About two-thirds of cats are affected by catnip, but again not all cats are truly affected.
Catnip is a pretty interesting herb that your cat will thoroughly enjoy, if he is one of the lucky percentile that is actually affected by the herb.
