Although this cooling wrap may look a little silly, but this cooling device is truly effective at keeping your dog cool in super hot weather. You don't want to leave the cooling wrap on your dog 24/7, such as if the dog is an outside dog, but it's a great cooling device to prevent your dog from overheating when he's out at the park all day, waiting at a competition or show, or any occasion in which the dog may be outside in the heat.
You will find that many owners or handlers will use these body cooler wraps during outdoor competitions. I went to the Aflac Outdoor Games in 2009, where there are several dog competitions. Some of the dogs, while waiting their turn to run agility, flyball, the dock, or flying disk, would have different methods of cooling off. Some handlers used waiting pools, whereas others would use cooling pads, collars, or wraps.

These dog cooling wraps keep your dog from overheating by allowing the heat to naturally rise away from the body while cooling the belly. Some of the cooling blankets or coats will cover the dog, which can actually trap in body heat. The cooling wraps can be much more effective at cooling off your dog.
