Tips for Traveling With Your Pet Hamster

It's not always the best idea to travel with such a small pet, but sometimes you just don't have any other resources to consider. I mean, if you're moving to a new house or apartment, then you can't just leave your pet hamster behind, so he gets to take a trip with you.
If you don't have a pet sitter that can watch your pet while you're on vacation, or if there's not a boarding facility that is willing to watch your hamster while you're on your trip, you may have to take it with you.
If you have to take your hamster with you on vacation or while moving, you will want to make the trip as stress-free for your hamster as you can. Hamsters can get stressed pretty easily, which can result in wet tail, so you want to start treating your hamster before a long trip, and continue the treatment throughout and after the trip.

* If you're going on a long trip, you want to stock the cage with food, water, and chews.
* If you're going on a plane, try to bring your hamster on as a carry-on instead of packing him in the luggage with the rest of the pets.
